In a proud moment for ITC’s Packaging and Printing Business, our Nadiad facility has been featured on the cover of PrintWeek India’s June 2025 edition. Titled “A Packaging Powerhouse,” the article highlights the facility’s cutting-edge infrastructure, sustainability-first mindset, and operational excellence, establishing it as a benchmark for modern packaging solutions in India.

Expanding Horizons in the West
Launched in 2022, the Nadiad plant is ITC’s fourth manufacturing facility under its Packaging & Printing Business (PPB), following the success of our units in Tiruvottiyur (Chennai), Haridwar, and Munger. Spread across 22 acres in Gujarat, this greenfield facility was strategically set up to expand our footprint in the western market and serve as a feeder plant to meet the growing packaging needs of key sectors.
A Technological Leap Forward
Purpose-built for excellence, agility, and innovation, the Nadiad unit is equipped with high-speed Heidelberg offset lines and Bobst gravure printing technology. Supporting both UV and conventional printing, the plant offers unmatched versatility for premium packaging requirements.
Beyond advanced machinery, what truly sets the facility apart is the seamless integration of technology with intelligent systems. From dynamic job sequencing to real-time monitoring and shift planning, every aspect is optimized for speed, responsiveness, and consistent output.
Serving the Future of Packaging
The plant caters to a wide range of industries including QSR, personal care, household essentials, electricals, footwear, and apparel. Designed with flexibility in mind, it supports complex structural designs, diverse surface finishes, and bold graphic effects.
Its ability to customize at scale, offering seasonal packs, regional variants, and limited editions, makes it an ideal partner for brands seeking rapid turnaround without compromising on quality or design impact.
Grounded in Sustainability
At ITC, sustainability is a way of doing business. The Nadiad facility was designed from the ground up to reflect this philosophy. It features:
• Energy-efficient systems
• Optimized resource usage
• Waste-reduction protocols
• Use of sustainable, recyclable, and paper-based alternatives
In recognition of its eco-conscious design and operations, the factory has been awarded the Platinum rating by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), the highest level of green certification in India.
Additionally, the facility is certified to ISO, SEDEX, BRC, and FSC standards, ensuring that every pack is responsibly made while meeting global quality benchmarks.

Built on People Power
The success of Nadiad is driven by its young and dynamic workforce. As highlighted by PrintWeek, the team brings a strong growth mindset and a passion to innovate. With Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) institutionalized from day one, every individual from operators to engineers is empowered to drive continuous improvement.
This ownership-led culture has enabled rapid ramp-up, high productivity, and operational excellence in a short span of time.
A Platform for Strategic Growth
As a feeder plant for ITC’s western operations, Nadiad ensures faster delivery timelines and lower logistics costs. Its integration with digital workflows and networked supply chain supports scalable, agile, and high-quality packaging for diverse brand needs.
More than a production unit, the facility is evolving into a co-creation hub, enabling brand teams to test, prototype, and co-develop innovative packaging formats, including on-demand SKUs and festive specials.
Looking Ahead
With continued investments in automation, capacity expansion, and talent development, the Nadiad plant is well positioned to lead the next wave of innovation in Indian packaging. Aligned with ITC’s vision for sustainability, personalization, and smart manufacturing, it stands as a testament to what the future of packaging can and should be.
We are proud to see Nadiad’s journey celebrated by PrintWeek India and even prouder of the people, principles, and purpose that power it every day.
